We use a highly reputable company to provide in-room treatments for our guests.
To book your treatment please contact Reception.
Breakfast is included in your stay at Kensington Place and is served from 07h30am until late. Should you wish to have breakfast in your room, please see menu provided and contact Reception.
Should you require a cold take-away breakfast before 07h30am please make arrangements with a Manager on duty prior.
We have a selection of DVD’s available for your viewing pleasure. Please contact Reception for a complete list of titles.
Gratuities are at your discretion and may be added to your final account via credit card or cash. Please hand these to a Manager on duty, who will distribute all gratuities evenly amongst all our staff.
A selection of beverages and snacks are available in your room. Should you require specific items to be added to your bar, please contact Reception.
Mediclinic (private clinic with 24-hours ER) is located 5 minutes away. Alternatively, we are able to assist with doctor’s call-out (during office hours). Blooms is the closest pharmacy & it is located in Checker Shopping Center at Kloof Street, 15 minutes’ walk.
Marshall speaker is provided in your room. For instructions, please refer to the speaker manual at the end of this Compendium.
We provide a full laundry service for your benefit. We outsource our guest laundry to a highly reputable company. Please complete the form provided and place in your laundry bag (both are placed in the cupboard under the TV). For same day service, please hand your laundry at reception by no later than 09h00, which will ensure it is returned during turndown service.
Laundry services are not available on Sundays & public holidays.

your own risk to do so. Should you wish to press
your own clothing, housekeeping will bring an
iron & ironing board to your room on request.

Solar panels, battery and inverters are operational during Load Shedding. With this system, we are able to produce green energy as part of our eco initiative.
Current storage capacity of the system allows our guests to not be effected by Load Shedding and we operate as per normal during power cuts.
We use highly professionals tour guides, should you wish to book a tour through us. We can assist you with Cape Point, Winelands area, City tour or shark cage diving, mounting hikes, paragliding and a variety of other activities in Cape Town.
Arriving & Departing
All rooms are ready for check-in at 14h00.
Please vacate your room by 11h00 on the day of your departure. Should you require a late check-out, please discuss this directly with the manager on duty.
Kensington Place has a fully operational kitchen with light lunches & dinner menu available. Please see menu in Compendium provided in the room. Dinner available in our dining area, on the terrace or in your room until 22:30. Limited options available after hours.
The hotel’s electricity supply is 220V.
There are international plug adapters available at Reception.
*Please note that a R150 deposit is required.
Complimentary vouchers are available at Reception for the nearby Virgin Active gym. Please note Virgin Active require all of our guests to provide identification on arrival (copy can be made at Reception).
Alternatively, you can find yoga mat, 2 weights, resistance band & gym book in wardrobe cupboard.
Left Something At Home
Basic amenities like shaving cream, razors and toothbrushes are available at Reception should you have left something at home.
Kensington Place strongly urges you to lock all valuables, especially cash, in the safe provided in your room. Please enter your secure 4 or 6 digit code to lock and unlock the safe.
Uber works well in Cape Town. We recommend using Uber Black. Alternatively, we can arrange a chauffeur driver or meter taxi service. Should you require a taxi, please contact Reception.

We offer free wireless Internet connectivity in all rooms and public areas. Simply search and connect to a network called “Kensington Place”. No password required. Should you require any assistance please contact Reception.
Secretarial services are available at Reception. These include postage, courier, fax, printing, messaging and any other service you may require.
